Dr. De Jong resides in Belleville, Illinois, with his wife and two dogs. He enjoys watching sports of all types as well as staying active in running, lifting weights, hiking, and sailing. He spends time regularly with the youth group at First United Presbyterian Church of Collinsville, where his wife serves as youth director. He also shares teaching responsibility for the junior high Sunday school class and serves as an elder.

Dr. Smithers resides in Swansea, Illinois, with his wife and son. He enjoys spending time with his family, running, golfing, and working on home improvements. He is an avid football and basketball fan, especially enjoying watching athletes with whom he worked at Arizona State University compete.
Personal Rodney D. Ford Jr., MS, ATC, LAT received his undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training from Missouri State University (formerly known as Southwest Missouri State University).
He then went on to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where he completed a graduate assistantship in the Sports Medicine Office in the Student Health Center.
While in Carbondale he earned his master’s degree in Sports Management.
Rodney has worked with a broad array of athletes of all ages and all levels ranging from pre-high school age to professional athletes. He has worked with many Sports Medicine Physicians and Orthopedic Surgeons throughout his career.
Prior to joining the Southern Illinois Sports Medicine team he spent the last 7 years in St. Louis, Missouri where he worked at PRORehab Physical and Sports Therapy and was the Head Athletic Trainer at Oakville High School.
